A lesson from God at Super Target

I was on the phone with Rebes and we were discussing choices in life. You know, like, where should I live? Why am I in Houston? Should I change careers? What residency she should pursue? And we were discussing the ever present question of "what's God's will for my life?" Also I was contemplating which cookie dough to buy. I couldn't decide between the peanut butter cups and the regular chocolate chip. Also there's the choice of Pillsbury or Tollhouse. After seeking Godly wisdom from Rebes and about an hour of agonizing over this tough decision. I decided to "settle" with the Pillsbury regular chocolate chip, even though it wasn't what I really wanted, but it was the best choice available. I reach to take the package and guess what!! There was Pillsbury peanut butter cups behind it! What!?? It was better than I had ever imagined.

Moral of the story: Sometimes God pushes you toward a direction and maybe it doesn't "feel" right or you're very hesitant to follow. Maybe it's not exactly what you want. But then after you have made that decision, He reveals something to you that is better than you ever dreamed. Maybe you have to reach out in faith for the chocolate chip to ultimately get the peanut butter.

you forgot to give me credit for MAKING you pick up the pillsbury instead of the tollhouse.
